YOUTH IN CONSERVATION
Currently our Youth in Conservation projects are inactive: pending funding.
Young people want and deserve a healthy world that includes clean water, clean air, wildlife and outdoor adventure. Having leaders for conservation tomorrow depends on what we do today. At Craighead, we link young people to the outdoors and offer them control of their future through active participation in science-based solutions for people and wildlife.
In October 2014 Lance Craighead taught 5th graders from Bozeman's Longfellow Elementary School about mammals, as part of their annual wetlands field trip. This is the 3rd year Lance has done this; we looked at hides and skulls of mammals that were loaned by Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, and we used motion sensor cameras to learn about the animals in the area.
